It's the most wonderful time of the year! No, I don't mean Christmas, though that certainly places a close second in my book.
I mean back-to-school season. As a kid, I would anxiously await the return to classes. I was weird. Summers weren't that much fun for me. They lacked structure and seemed to drag on forever.
The best part of heading back to school was going back-to-school shopping. Especially the annual trip to get all our school supplies. Pencils, pens, notebooks, binders, and all the fixings for a great locker.
My all time favorite school supply purchase was my Trapper Keeper (Do they still make those?). Mine usually had a Lisa Frank design on them because I really wasn't cool enough to get any of the other references.

I just finished up my back to school shopping for my classroom. It's amazing how much I spend every year, but it's fun, as you say. The kids are all so excited on their first day with all their new supplies. When does school start in your area?
